This project covers the overall automation modernization and commissioning works completed onboard the Saturn Offshore Drilling Rig, including the SCR Main PLC upgrade, Siemens MTP1200 HMI installation, Mud Pump current monitoring, HPU PLC upgrade, and Doghouse Remote I/O migration.
The modernization was performed to replace obsolete control hardware, improve diagnostics, increase system reliability, strengthen operator visibility, and support long-term maintainability of the rig’s critical drilling and SCR network control systems.
Watchdog Automation is currently engaged in a multi-phase automation modernization program for a jack-up offshore drilling rig operating in the Caspian Sea, Turkmenistan. The project involves the comprehensive assessment, engineering, and staged migration of multiple critical rig control systems, replacing obsolete automation platforms with modern, reliable industrial control technologies.
Watchdog Automation successfully executed a complete automation modernization project for a major Food & Beverage distillation facility, replacing a legacy control platform with a high-performance Siemens automation architecture. The project addressed the challenges of obsolete hardware, limited system support, and aging control infrastructure, ensuring long-term operational reliability and improved plant performance.
Watchdog Automation played a key engineering role in the modernization and expansion of the aviation fuel infrastructure at International Airport, delivering the detailed design of the automation and instrumentation systems for the fuel farm and aircraft hydrant distribution network.
Watchdog Automation successfully completed a full-scale reverse engineering and automation platform replacement for a large industrial feedmill production facility, transforming a proprietary European OEM automation system into a modern, open, and fully maintainable Siemens-based control architecture.
